Dec 24, 2021 · April 11th, 2022 14:00. I had the issue of wifi icon disappearing, only ethernet cable worked. Updating drivers, turning airplane mode on/off, and restarting did nothing. What DID WORK: Settings>Network and internet>Advanced network settings>Network reset>Reset now. This fixed my issue, wifi icon reappeared after the restart.
